5日 TODDLER TEAM

Today we celebrated the Tanabata, or the star festival. People generally celebrate the festival by writing wishes on tanzaku (colourful paper) and hanging them on bamboo, sometimes with other decorations too.

Story telling about the star festival.
Introducing the characters of the star festival story

Our dear friends portrayed as Orihime, a gifted weaver, and Hikoboshi, a hard-working cow herder.

They helped our teacher explain the story of the star festival.

Everyone had fun listening and watching their friends.

Group picture with the bamboo.
Bamboo is thought to have become a part of the
tanabata tradition for its propensity to grow straight and tall, with upward stretching branches bearing wishes to heaven on the wind.
PARK TIME

Chasing game with friends.

Looking for some insects and bugs.

Attached to the bamboo are colourful strip of paper known as tanzaku, where their wishes/requests are written.
That's all for today!
Thank you and have a nice weekend!
